EuroMillions is one of the most popular lottery games in UK, thanks to the huge jackpots that are often awarded to lucky winners. It is a Europe-wide lottery draw that takes place at 21:00 CET every Tuesday and Friday. Results are available from 21:15 CET onwards.
What is the minimum and maximum jackpot in EuroMillions?
The EuroMillions jackpot starts at a minimum of €17 million (around £14 million). This amount increases as draws take place without a winner, reaching up to a maximum of €250 million. The jackpot can stay at this level for a maximum of four draws.
How do I play Euromillions?
The rules are quite simple and similar to other lotteries.
- Choose a ticket and select 5 numbers (from 1 to 50) and 2 Lucky Stars (from 1 to 12). These stars act as bonus numbers.
- This is a standard bet, but you can increase your chances by placing multiple bets, choosing up to 10 numbers and 5 Lucky Stars per ticket.
- The cost of your ticket depends on the number of combinations you select.
What are the biggest EuroMillions jackpots ever won?
The largest jackpot, £209 million, was won by a single ticket holder in Austria on Friday, March the 15th, 2025.
Before that, another Austrian player won £206 million on December the 8th, 2023.
The third largest jackpot was won in UK on July the 19th 2022. The jackpot: £196 million.
What are the odds of winning Euromillions?
The chance of winning the EuroMillions jackpot (matching all numbers) is 1 in 139,838,160. Only 30 people have won it since the first draw in 2004.
However, the odds of winning a mid-tier prize of over £2.5 million improve to 1 in 621,502.

“Big Friday” or Special Draws can take place at any time of the year and offer a guaranteed jackpot, with a minimum of £109 million, regardless of the previous draw’s jackpot.
If no one wins the Big Friday jackpot, the prize money rolls over to the next draw.
